Overview
Bower provides customer-relationship, document, messaging, and payment-workflow software for independent studios. This policy explains what information Bower processes, why it is used, and the choices available to studios and their clients.
Information we process
We process studio account and profile information; client and event details entered by a studio or submitted through its forms; messages and email-routing data; proposals, contracts, signatures, invoices, questionnaires, files, and related activity; technical information such as IP address, browser, device, timestamps, and security logs; and subscription or payment status.
Stripe processes card and bank details for subscriptions and client payments. Bower does not store complete card or bank-account credentials.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure Bower, deliver studio-requested messages and documents, attribute electronic signatures, process and reconcile payments, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain audit history, improve reliability, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
AI-assisted features
When a studio requests an AI-assisted draft or document-field mapping, the information needed for that request may be sent to Bower’s configured AI service provider. AI output is presented for human review. Bower does not automatically send AI-written client messages.
Service providers
Bower relies on service providers for hosting, database and file storage, authentication, transactional email, email routing, payments, and AI processing. These providers process information only as needed to supply those services and under their own contractual and security obligations.
Studios and their clients
A studio controls the client and event information it places in Bower. Clients should contact the studio first to correct or request deletion of studio-controlled records. Bower may assist the studio with a verified request where required.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while a studio account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, payment, tax, dispute, contractual, and legal obligations. Studios may export their information and request account deletion from Bower. Some records may remain in limited backups or immutable financial and signature audit history until the applicable retention period ends.
Security
Bower uses access controls, scoped client links, encrypted service connections, private file storage, provider authentication, and audit records intended to protect information. No service can guarantee perfect security. Studios should promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Choices and contact
Studios can update account information and notification choices in Settings. Questions, privacy requests, and security reports may be sent to team@hellobower.com. We may verify identity and authority before acting on a request.
Changes
We may update this policy as Bower changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through Bower or by email when appropriate.
